The Cage

One structure, two suspension modalities.

The Ability Exercise Unit is a heavy-duty metal frame with a system of pulleys, elastic cords, and rigging. Configured one way it's a Spider Cage; configured another, a Monkey Cage — either way, it isolates muscle groups and supports gait work with total safety.

Spider Modality

Multi-point elastic suspension that offloads body weight while isolating target muscle groups for controlled strengthening.

Monkey Modality

Dynamic overhead traction for gait training, allowing patients to practice walking patterns with graded assistance.

Safety Rigging

Padded suspension belts, high-strength carabiners, and fixation hooks rated for continuous clinical use.

Spider vs. Monkey

Same frame, different job.

In Spider mode, eight bungee cords pull from four angles to support body weight through a sit-to-stand or standing exercise, isolating one muscle group at a time. In Monkey mode, an overhead pulley and weight system gives graded traction for gait training — a patient practices walking patterns with just enough assistance to succeed.

Certification transfers to your equipment.

Clinics running other suspension rigs don't need to switch equipment to train on our protocol — the certification is run by our sister site, built specifically for that path.
